Town finally returned to action following a lengthy spell of inactivity due to waterlogged pitches and the festive period. And what a fixture to start the new year off with, as they entertained the reigning champions.
Rimington produced the club's greatest ever comeback against Barrowford Celtic on Saturday afternoon. With storm Atiyah
raging and almost impossible playing
conditions Rimmy came back from a 5
goal first half deficit.
Town (EL) finally got to play a game of football after having not played since their convincing win over Settle in the Craven Cup on 19th Oct. Once again fantastic work by the ground staff ensured the game went ahead.
Rimmy were in a buoyant mood following their emphatic victory last weekend but they knew it would be a tough test as they came up against a Read United side which has been tipped for big things this season.
