Double header ends in wins for the Reserves

The Curtain Closure to the 2020-21 on off season took place today at Padiham FC

It was a day that was well attended and the reserves triumphed in two tightly fought games.

In the early kick off the Burnley Eats Consolation cup was won by Whinney Hill Reserves who came back from being 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at full time and then beat a very strong Rishton United 4-3 on penalties.

In the afternoon game, the sun came out, and the Skinny Lager Trophy game was end to end. Despite Rimington Reserves having their goalkeeper sent off they managed to hang onto a 4-4 draw at full time against a very good Prairie United team. In penalties the super replacement in goal (who started the game as an outfield player) saved two penaties to help Rimington Reserves to a 4-1 victory.

A fab day had by all.

See you in August!!!!
